Labor Day Weekend!

Hooray for 3 day weekends! I hope everyone has an awesome "last" official weekend of summer. And for everyone on the Gulf- stay safe!

It looks like we are going to get quite a bit of rain off of Tropical Storm Isaac... Which is a blessing since most of the natural state is enduring a drought.

Part of this weekend I'll be in Tennessee- and I can't wait! I get to see my BFF and eat at my favorite place AND buy new clothes at my favorite shop! *happy dance*

Olivia will be packing her own lunch on Friday... :) and here is tomorrow's lunch! I'm starting to feel bored with our lunch ingredients, but while we are staying with family, I am trying not to take over the kitchen and stuff the refrigerator and cabinets full of thousands of things.

Monday Bento Goodness!

It's Monday of the second week of school! Olivia already doesn't want to go... Surprise surprise. So this morning, I let her make her own lunch with me. She picked out all of the picks we used and helped place them.... And helped scout a location to snap the photo. :)

Happy Monday!

We are Beliebers!

I could NOT resist! Yesterday on the way to school we were jamming out to "Boyfriend" - quite possibly one of the greatest pop songs OF.ALL.TIME. <-- Yeah... I'm not ashamed to admit that I've got the FEVER!

A peanut butter and pumpkin seed sandwich with strawberry fruit leather fever, a few pretzels, red raspberries, white raspberries, watermelon, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, carrots, tomatoes, and ranch. Oh, and the Biebs!

So, Who is your favorite singer (I mean... who is your child's favorite!?)... and how excited would they be to open lunch and see them?!

A Sweet Treat

Such a sweet lunch for a sweet girl! :)

I found this raw coconut butter at whole foods and I just had to get it. Olivia is becoming a picky eater *eye roll* and so it has become very important to sneak in the good stuff.

This lunch is packed (with love!) in the Easy Lunchboxes container. It contains Chobani lemon yogurt with fresh raspberries on top, a clementine, some sweet petite grapes (cute candy picks from AllThingsForSale.com), an ice cream sandwich (thelunchpunch.com), 2 vanilla ice cream marshmallows (mallow-licious at walmart), mini golfish, and a tiny black cherry licorice heart from whole foods candy bar.

Oh, and sprinkles on the ice cream sandwiches. The sandwiches are Justin's honey peanut butter and the raw coconut butter together. I drew the lines on the bread with a black food safe marker, then used some more coconut butter to make the sprinkles stay in place.

If you are attending my bento workshop in Greers Ferry, Arkansas :) this Saturday at 2pm, you'll be going home with one of these awesome Easy Lunchboxes containers!

FIRST day of SCHOOL!

I think I am probably WAY more excited than Olivia about the first day of school. Probably because I love packing lunches! This year I get to add the amazing Easy Lunch Box to our stash! This week I plan to use the ELB's every day. WOO! :)

This lunch contains white and red raspberries, a piece of fried boneless, skinless chicken with ketchup, 3 baby carrots, assorted cherry tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. It's a pretty simple lunch. Olivia hasn't been eating very well lately, so I think right now less is more. I am also sending a package of Hello Panda cookies for a special first day of school dessert.
